15 Credits SPRING

Aims/Description: In this module students will work with one of the non-academic partners, which may be their long- term PhD sponsor but would not necessarily be this organisation. It will involve a piece of data analysis which has been agreed between the Centre for Doctoral Training and the non-academic partner. The internship will require substantial interaction with the non-academic organisation, often involving an extended placement at the hosts place of business. It will therefore aid in the development of transferable and professional skills, as well as establishing mastery of applied data analytics techniques and problem-solving ability.

Restrictions on availability: Yes. This course is restricted to students from the Universities of Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester enrolled with the CDT Data Analytics and Society.

Staff Contact: BELL ANDREW J
