Aims/Description: Epistemology and metaphysics are two of the core philosophical disciplines. Within epistemology, central questions include: What is the nature of knowledge? What is it to see something? Does the possibility that a given instance of `seeing' might be dreamt undermine observational knowledge? In addressing these questions, amongst, others, the module will outline theories of knowledge, perception and engage with scepticism. Within metaphysics, central questions include: What is a property? What work do properties do in our understanding of the world? In addressing these questions, amongst others, the module will outline theories of properties, possible worlds and truth makers.
