Aims/Description: This module represents the second year of the four-year BA Music Education, and provides students with first-hand, authentic experience of a specific employment context directly related to the area of music education. Placements are expected to take the form of a programme of work experience within (e.g.) schools, community music/arts providers, private music schools, regional/LEA-funded music services, etc. Students will be encouraged to apply to an internal competition (by interview) for allocation of c. 5 placements that have been pre-arranged with the Department of Music's strategic partner in this area, the Sheffield Music Hub. However students will also be able to arrange their own placements with support from the Department and the Faculty Placements Officer.

Restrictions on availability: Restricted to students on the BA Music Education.
