Pre-requisites: MAS201, MAS202

Aims/Description: In this module we study intergers, primes and equations. Topics covered include linear and quadratic congruences, Fermat Little Theorem and Euler's Theorem, the RSA cryptosystem, Quadratic Reciprocity, perfect numbers, continued fractions and others.

Restrictions on availability: This unit cannot be taken by any student who has previously taken MAS208.
