Aims/Description: Students on this module will spend a year employed by a company in an area broadly related to their mathematics degree (e.g. finance, IT, data analysis etc.). The module both (a) helps students develop valuable transferrable skills required for their future careers, and (b) provides students with the opportunity to apply their mathematics knowledge, understanding and skills to an employment context. To qualify for this module, students must secure a placement themselves, and we cannot guarantee success in gaining employment. However, the University does provide help with this, via both the module leader and the Careers Service.

Restrictions on availability: Restricted to students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics
