Aims/Description: This course is designed to provide an introduction, through the study of important works, to major areas in Portuguese culture and society. The course will focus on representative works of literature and film. The aim is to examine their discussion of themes and concerns present in Portuguese society and culture.

Restrictions on availability: Dual Honours students can take either HSS284 or HSS285, but not both. They must also take the pre-requisite and co-requisite units
