Aims/Description: The individual project gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained during the first two years of the course to a specific task or problem. Students are required to develop and to demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for the organisation, management and technical progress of a project; to demonstrate an ability to apply engineering principles to a practical project; to develop and demonstrate an ability to present; in the form of a substantial project dissertation and a colloquium a concise account of the work carried out and its significance. A member of staff will supervise the student's work and will meet with them regularly.

Restrictions on availability: Only available to students on MECU01 and MECU02
