Aims/Description: The focus of Year 2 of the CDT is to give students the scientific foundation necessary for their PhD projects and to support their becoming leaders in SLT. This module supports this overarching goal by providing students with the experience of participating in and/or delivering an international shared task challenge on a current SLT research topic, broadening and deepening students' understanding of state-of-the-art developments in SLT, developing students' capacity to help others -- in academia or in external organisations -- to understand and solve their SLT-related problems, and developing students' ability to apply knowledge of RRI factors to specific research projects.

Teaching Methods: Seminars, Independent Study, Students will take part in the University GTA training courses and will sit in on some UG or PGT project supervision sessions with their academic supervisor.
