30 Credits AUTUMN

Cannot be taken with: BMS339, BMS349, BMS397

Aims/Description: The science in schools project will introduce you to the theory and practice of teaching. You will write a review of a specific area of pedagogical research, and liaise with local school teachers to develop and deliver exciting science lessons that complement the current curriculum for that particular school class. An important part of the project will be to assess the impact of these lessons on the school pupils perception of science, allowing evaluation of your activity in a written report. You will work in pairs to design and deliver the lessons, however, the associated reports and presentations will be written and assessed individually.
