Aims/Description: This course enables students¿ high-level engagement with inter-disciplinary approaches to their research field and links their individual projects to social science `grand challenges¿ within their thematic pathway. It also embeds them within a thematic cohort of PhD students (across the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership), in which there is interdisciplinary working, collaboration, and cohort development supported through active peer-to-peer learning. The module is taught through an ongoing programme of pathway-specific research activities provided through the Doctoral Training Partnership, within which students are active participants and able to critically reflect on their own development.
