Aims/Description: This module provides the first half of the core level 2 physics. Subjects covered are: electromagnetism, to solutions of Maxwell's equations, quantum mechanics, to solutions of the time independent Schrodinger equation, solutions of Maxwell's equations, and solids, to crystal structure and phonons. Physics topics are supported by relevant maths lectures where requiredcovering ordinary and partial differential equations, Fourier series and transforms, convolution integrals.
