Aims/Description: The module focuses on ways to encourage a culture of innovation and improvement in organisations, with particular focus on public service innovation. Innovation may be in the form of new processes, products, services or methods of delivery. Also, innovation can be incremental or radical and the module will reflect on the processes of innovative change. Barriers to innovative change will be identified alongside strategies for promoting innovative behaviours. The application of creative thinking to organisational challenges and opportunities for innovation and improvement will be central to this module.
