Aims/Description: Students build on their previous knowledge, skills and experience by undertaking a 15-week medical genomics research project that shows originality in the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in a specialism of healthcare science. Where students are funded by the NHS, the project will be carried out in collaboration with an NHS laboratory, whilst those who are non-NHS funded will be placed across FMDH and FSci. Projects could take place within the workplace of the NHS staff, if appropriate and approved
