10 Credits AUTUMN

Aims/Description: This module will give the student the basis to understand bone structure, factors regulating bone remodelling and how they change with age and disease. The student will be able to discuss novel ways and challenges to assess skeletal health in experimental models and clinical trials and the limitations of the present pharmacological and lifestyle interventions. The module will be delivered through lectures delieverd by e-learning, tutorials on hot topics and independent study with support of material from cutting edge published literature.
