Appropriate progression in modules to go forward to the library based project

Aims/Description: The library project is undertaken by postgraduate diploma students in place of the research project carried out by masters students. The project comprises a 7,000-8,000 word dissertation addressing a research question on a nutrition subject agreed jointly by the student and the supervisor. The topic may be topical and/or controversial or may reflect a subject of particular interest to the student. The student will carry out a detailed but focused literature search to enable a consideration of the research question, showing critical analysis of the published literature. 3 Month duration, submitting a dissertation of 7,000 - 8,000 words.
