20 Credits SPRING

Aims/Description: The module is designed to enable a MUNDUS Crossways MA student to undertake an intensive programme of directed reading expressly devised for that student by an academic member of staff of SLC in a restricted topic area in which that member of staff possesses significant research-level expertise. The student will have frequent and regular tutorial supervision meetings with the staff member throughout the semester, generally on a one-to-one basis. A student's embarking on such a programme is subject to the specific approval of the Sheffield MUNDUS Crossways coordinators, who will assess the student's capacity to undertake such a programme and its appropriateness to the direction in which his/her principal dissertation project is evolving.
