5 Credits AUTUMN

Pre-requisites: You must be taking a language with the Institution-Wide Languages Programme or Languages for All Programme

Aims/Description: The enhanced component consists of an activity which will link the students' postgraduate study interests with their language learning. There are many ways in which this can be done. In all cases, the student's work will be written up in the form of a reflective diary, with appendices giving evidence for the points made in the diary. By the end of the module we expect that students will be able to: i) Reflect on the benefits of language learning; ii) Relate the role of language learning to their own programme of study; and iii) Develop strategies to learn languages.

Staff Contact: Dr J Woodin
