60 Credits GRADUATE YEAR



Aims/Description: The dissertation of 15,000 - 20,000 words will be the outcome of research developed in conjunction with, and supervised by a member of the Centre for Gender Studies in Europe or SOMLAL. The dissertation may focus on one national or cultural context, adopt a cross-national or cross-cultural perspective or undertake analysis from a pan-European standpoint. It will deal with a question that the student will have had adequate preparation to undertake during the taught element of the course. The supervisor advises on a preliminary bibliography, appropriate research techniques and on the scope of the research in personal tutorials.
