Aims/Description: Approaches to assessment within medical education will be considered, including formative and summative methods. Participants will explore a range of assessment strategies including OSCE, work-place based assessment, assessing competency and performance and mechanisms for quality assurance. Methods of providing feedback to students will be critically examineda and reflected upon within the context of their practice.

Assessment: The module will be assessed through a reflective portfolio. Participants will be required to critically reflect upon assessment approaches to demonstrate their own professional development.
