Aims/Description: This module is designed to give students the opportunity to learn about how science is communicated to different audiences. Students will learn how to search for scientific literature using online databases and will learn about how and why scientific research is published in different formats. Students will be taught about different software packages available to them which can be used to manage references, draw graphs and produce graphics. Students will be assessed through continuous assessment and marked on their ability to peer review an article and their ability to write a research article in the style of a journal article using real research data.

Restrictions on availability: Cannot be taken with MAT6670 or MAT405
