Aims/Description: This module introduces students to the different remedies available to parties seeking redress under the law, including damages (both compensatory and otherwise), account, specific performance, injunctions, interim relief, and self-help. It also introduces students to issues relating to the international and regional harmonisation of remedies. In addition, the module facilitates an understanding of the concepts and theories underlying the remedies that are available under the law. The module provides a good foundation for the advanced study of contract, tort, restitution, equity and trusts, and property.
