10 Credits SPRING

Aims/Description: This offers the opportunity for independent specialisation in a particular topic or subject-area of the Double Degree programme. Students will select a topic in consultation with tutors and will be given supervision for researching and producing a dissertation of up to 6,000 words. Sheffield students may take a linguistic subject, or they may extend the coverage and detailed study of an aspect of either HSS394 or HSS395. UIB students on course R402 may be required to produce the dissertation on a topic agreed in consultation with tutors at the UIB as appropriate.

Restrictions on availability: Available only to students on course R402
