Aims/Description: Students will undertake an original piece of research on a topic of their choice. The aims of the module are to: (i) provide students with an insight into current scientific issues within their subject area through the medium of research presentations and discussion. (ii) foster and develop research skills including the acquisition, processing and presentation of information. (iii) expose students to a range of presentational techniques of current research material. (iv) develop students' ability to synthesise oral information. (v) to develop skills in written and oral communication.
