Aims/Description: A continuation of Film Studies I (FRE675). The aim of this course is the analysis of modern French cinema (from the 1960s to the year 2000). Each film will be analysed in its socio-cultural context and this analysis will comprise of the following approaches: gender, stars, form, thematics. The students will work in groups to prepare presentations of their own analyses of the films.
