Aims/Description: This unit is a research led project is supervised by a member of staff. Project activities take place during the autumn and spring semesters using the Departmental Research facilities and students are exposed to the latest methods, instrumentation and ideas in the area of their project. There is scope for students to demonstrate their critical skills and engineering knowledge to a high level.

Assessment: Project work, Students will meet their primary & secondary supervisors regularly and logbooks assessed. Poster presentation and their talk about their project work will also be assessed.
