10 Credits GRADUATE YEAR



Aims/Description: Students will produce transcripts in Japanese and translations into English of a variety of Japanese TV material such as documentaries, news, and drama. They will gain practice during the residentials in giving formal presentations. It will be assessed by course-work and a formal oral examination during the final residential.

Notes: This course develops the students' ability to comprehend the spoken language, and also to make formal presentations in Japanese. Students can put these skills to good use in translation, business, academia and in teaching.
