Aims/Description: This unit aims to build on EAS6068 Japanese to English Translation I and further develop students' translation abilities. Students are introduced to more complex texts (newspaper, technical, literary) and emphasis is placed on producing polished translations utilising a variety of translation styles and techniques. Students produce a polished translation of a longer text of their own choice with detailed content and linguistic annotations thus gaining experience in the research activities necessary to support the translation of literary or non-literary texts.
