10 Credits AUTUMN

Aims/Description: This module is focusing on interactive activities in Korean. It aims to enable students to acquire basic competence in speaking and listening skills. Every week carefully designed grammar structures and vocabulary will be introduced so that students will be able to communicate in Korean through a variety of activities. The target level at the end of this level is roughly equivalent to TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) beginners level/L1 or CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) A1.

Staff Contact: Sukyeon Cho
Teaching Methods: Language seminars each week will develop speaking and listening skills through various activities such as pattern practice, pair work, small group work and role play (LO1, LO2, LO3). Independent study is also expected outside classroom and there will be supplemental materials available on MOLE to support that (LO1).
Assessment: Course work
