Aims/Description: This module will provide students with up-to-date knowledge of composite steel and concrete construction and prepare them with skills for designing and analysing main structural elements of composite structures.Significant emphasis will be placed on helping the students to develop a fundamental understanding of the underlying principles of the behaviour of composite structures which is often omitted when design is based solely on codes of practice or the direct application of prescribed equations.
