Aims/Description: This module provides an understanding of the principles and skills of software based environmental simulation, analysis and visualisation and the ability to critically apply these concepts and skills in urban and building design contexts. An iterative integrated workflow is proposed in which design, simulation and analysis are concurrent with a single design model driving the workflow.
Restrictions on availability: Restricted to PGT and PGR students in the School of Architecture, and MEng and MSc Architectural Engineering Design students in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering
Notes: The unit forms part of a graduate teaching pattern which links to the professionally recognised course in Architecture, though it is not a compulsory component of that course.
