Co-requisites: ARC303

Aims/Description: The Extended Study is a written study on an architectural subject identified by the student. This is an opportunity for the student to investigate in depth a subject relevant to their particular interests and possible postgraduate study and career paths, whilst appreciating the breadth of different subjects, methodologies and communication that research can embrace. The emphasis will be on conducting original research and analysis in order to produce a critical and rigorous written study, supported by appropriate visual documentation. The Extended Study will be undertaken with expert advice from staff in the school, mainly through individual or small group tutorials.
