Pre-requisites: A-Level Biology or Equivalent Scientific Qualification


Aims/Description: The Skills for Biology module introduces students to the fundamentals of scientific writing, presentation skills, practical skills, experimental design and data analysis, information technology, the role of science in society and career development. Concepts will be introduced in a series of lectures and seminars that students will then develop through practical sessions and independent study using printed and online module material and activities. Key transferable skills will then be developed and integrated using small group tutorials.

Restrictions on availability: Restricted to Programmes APSU03, APSU05, APSU06, APSU13, APSU14, APSU15, APSU16, APSU17, APSU24, APSU25, APSU29.Only available to Animal and Plant Sciences Students.
