Aims/Description: This module is aimed at providing an initial training in the identification and research skills needed for ecological fieldwork. It involves a structured prgramme of online identification and research assignments over the academic year, with practical examination at the end of the semester. The course will develop familiarity with using identification guides, with a range of plant and invertebrate groups and the ecological issues associated with them. It will prepare students for fieldcourses and other practical work.
Restrictions on availability: Available only to students doing Ecology and Conservation Biology (BSc/MBiolSci).Only available to Animal and Plant Science and Environmental Science Students.
